This expensive monitor is not worth any money. Samsung panel has backlight bleeding issues. See the attached photos. The monitor’s HDMI does not draw enough power to keep it on for long time and struggled at 60Hz. Lower frequency works fine. There’s an yellow tint to the display and you cannot change it with any setting. The joystick to control the menu is not easy to use and switching between sources is a specially difficult task and it takes 30 seconds to switch sources.Bad brightness control fades colors out on top of backlight bleeding causing color fading. On top of all of these, the monitor gets really hot and the center.All-in-all a money trap and you should avoid it. Amazon does not take resposibility and denies refund. They want to replace the same monitor. Replacement will not fix the sub-par panel on this monitor.

Overview:The monitor looks great from the design and also works fine. Been using it since last 2-3 days and haven’t noticed any noticeable faults/issues which were pointed by some other reviewers.Design:It looks great. Display bezel is very thin and overall the black/gray finish is appealing. Built quality also looks great with a sturdy stand which tilts a little bit (with some effort)Colour calibration:I already have another 4K LG UK650 monitor which looks slightly more accurate with colours compared to this one, however it’s nothing major. Comparison point has been the MacBook Pro display.I agree with other reviewers that the monitor’s inbuilt colour calibration options are very limited and does not really help in optimising a lot unlike LG which provides a lot more options such as six-colour calibration. But with the help of OS calibration softwares & Graphic cards display drivers, I think better calibration can be done (maybe?) though haven’t tried that yet as it’s very minor and seems to affect only some shades of some colours. I don’t expect 100% perfectly calibrated monitor in this price range anyway but this is good enough to work with.Backlight bleeding:Yes, there is a decent amount backlight bleeding. But I have seen this amount of backlight bleeding in all other monitors under 40-50k (I have used a few of them including BenQ, LG). I kept it side by side with my other monitor LG UK650 and compared backlight bleeding with it – both had almost same amounts of bleeding. In general backlight bleeding is not very noticeable with eyes unless you watch dark scenes in a dark room with high brightness. This is not a case for me, so bleeding is not an issue.Note: Our cameras show the backlight bleeding more prominently than what we can see with naked eye.Viewing angles:Decent viewing angles – no issues. Conclusion:Before buying this display, I didn’t find enough reviews on the net of this exact model number so I was a bit skeptical. But I became more confident when I read reviews for 28″ UR55 monitors sold in other countries. I realised the monitors sold in these other countries are basically same (looks same, same specs), just the last 4-5 digits of the model numbers change which could be a country specific change. They all had very good reviews so I went ahead to buy one. Turns out to be a good purchase so far.

I thought I got a pretty good deal after all discounts / deal of the day / cashback / bank offers, etc (~25k), but the monitor I received has a faulty panel. There is a thin (single pixel) vertical blue line running from top to bottom of the screen towards the right side (see photos). I wanted to give Samsung another chance, so wanted a replacement but amazon is giving me only refund as they don’t have the item available from the same seller in stock. I said I am willing to wait for a few days, but they can’t automatically take the replacement request unless the product comes back in stock again. Will update the review if I get a replacement that works. Haven’t really looked for color bleeding issues, but in the few minutes I spent with the monitor, the colors were decent and the viewing angle was good (IPS panel).
